Am I vulnerable to exchange rate fluctuation?
No. Danish Car Imports provides you with the peace of mind that once you have placed an order for a vehicle you will not be subject to exchange rate fluctuation risk. This is because once you have accepted the terms of our offer and, paid the deposit, the exchange rate is frozen.

Is the warranty the same as cars in the UK?
The warranty on an imported car is the standard European 1-year manufacturers warranty. An extended warranty can be purchased via any UK dealership specialising in the brand you have purchased and will be pleased to provide you with this service.

No it will show first registered in the UK.

It will state you as the first registered keeper of the vehicle.

What country laws apply?
In the unlikely event of anything going wrong, the dispute would be taken up with a UK court of law, dealt with in exactly the same way as if you had purchased the car from a dealership in the UK.

What happens to my deposit, where is it held and by whom?
A lot of people have heard horror stories on TV about import-dealers who take the deposit and disappear out of the UK. With Danish Car Imports there is no need to worry because you pay the deposit direct to the dealership we deal with in Denmark.

How much deposit is required and whom do I pay?
A deposit of £3,000 sterling is required upon placement of an order and is payable to the supplying European dealership by bank-to-bank transfer.

When do I pay the outstanding balance?
You will not be required to pay the outstanding balance until you take delivery of the car at our head office in Richmond, Surrey. At this point you will be given the opportunity to inspect the car to ensure that everything is to your satisfaction. Once you are completely happy with the car well pay a visit to the bank where we will arrange to transfer the balance.
